About me

I have been competing in endurance sport since 2006. Initially, it was my own learning from an honours degree in Physical Education that helped me produce my training and racing formulas. More recently it has been the guidance of professional endurance coach Val Burke and former Commonwealth and Olympic Games cyclist Jon Andrews that has seen my performance shift to a drastically new level. With this shift has come an important lift in confidence and self-belief. Among my personal highlights in sport so far, my two runner–up placings in the most recent Speight’s Coast to Coast races have to be tops, along with my 3 consecutive wins in the gruelling Central Otago Goldrush and my breakthrough international win at this year’s Baise Outdoor Quest.

As I have reached the top end of competition, I have realised how truly critical it is to have the right equipment and resources for the job. This is

where my sponsors have been integral to my success in recent years. The support and energy I receive from my sponsors is an essential ingredient in every single training session and race I do.

My big goals for the coming years include establishing myself as a consistent performer on the international adventure racing stage and winning the Speight’s Coast to Coast World Multisport Champs race. There are plenty of other races and goals I have in mind, but for now my focus is on achieving these. As proud as I am of my achievements so far – at 26 years of age I believe my best years of racing are still ahead of me.

My Career Highlights...
